This very pleasant gentleman initially attended with concerns about recurring infections and the bleeding of his gums.
A number of teeth held a poor prognosis and these were extracted initially. This was followed by a course of deep cleaning and minor surgery where the health of the gums was stabilised.
Following this four dental implants were placed in order to restore Zane’s chewing ability. He is now under a maintenance programme to ensure the longevity of his teeth and implants.
I was first referred to Nami in 2012, having been informed by my dentist that I was suffering from some severe problems with bone loss and was in need of specialist treatment if I was to prevent further, and serious, deterioration of my dental health.
My dentist wrote a referral letter to Nami, a preliminary appointment date was quickly fixed and I duly made by way to Norwich, with some trepidation it must be confessed. After five minutes I realised that I had been worrying about nothing.
From my first entry into the clinic, I felt that I was in safe and experienced hands. All the administration and clinical staff I encountered were most friendly, welcoming and extremely competent within their various roles.
My preliminary interview and examination with Nami was a most thorough and friendly affair; I felt that I was receiving the best of treatment from an obviously experienced and assured dental surgeon. Nami quickly established by examination and x-ray that I was in need of prolonged treatment, firstly to stabilise my dental health and then to prepare for the fitting of a number of dental implants in order to restore the required number of lost teeth.
Nami explained fully that this would be a fairly expensive treatment programme and would take some time to complete; despite these constraints I had no hesitation in my decision to go ahead, and I have never regretted that decision for a second. Every element and aspect of the programme was explained, carefully planned and carried out with great professionalism and skill.
I was most impressed with the various diagnostic, imaging and surgical methods and equipment deployed during my treatment.
Of course, along the way there were one or two unexpected problems; the most significant of which was the discovery of an impacted wisdom tooth which was causing me no little discomfort and which would have to be removed before other elements of my treatment could proceed. This came as a surprise to us all, as I recall.
No sooner discovered than dealt with; Nami assured me that, although difficult, the extraction was fairly routine and a relatively painless business. So it proved. I do recall being most struck by the amount of muscular effort and strength required to carry out the extraction, although I felt no pain at all. Another job well done. After a period of recovery, the remaining elements of my treatment went very smoothly. My implants were fitted nearly two years ago and they have behaved perfectly since.
At a recent check-up, Nami professed himself very satisfied with my overall dental health. The most impressive 3D digital-imaging system revealed that there was little or no bone loss and that the implants were totally secure. I must say that being able to compare ‘then and now’ images on the computer screen allowed me to see these things clearly; at once informative, reassuring and thoroughly professional.
I consider that I have received the best of treatment and the best of results. I would firmly and unhesitatingly recommend Nami to any of my friends and family who might be in need of similar, or any, dental treatment.
